McGuireWoods Consulting announced that Zach Johnson has joined its Atlanta office as an assistant vice president. Johnson, who is a Georgia Certified Procurement Associate (GCPA), will assist clients with legislative, regulatory and procurement matters before the Georgia General Assembly.
McGuireWoods Consulting’s Raleigh office celebrated its 10 th anniversary last night with a reception at its offices that was attended by clients, legislators, and state and local officials. Originally started by Senior Advisor Harry Kaplan and Senior Vice President Johnny Tillett, the Raleigh office opened its doors in 2007 and has steadily grown to become one of the largest government affairs practices in the state.

The cost of President Donald Trump’s budget request for fiscal year 2019. On Feb. 12, President Trump submitted his FY 2019 budget request (“Budget”) to Congress. For the second year in a row, the Treasury Department will not be issuing its “Greenbook” to accompany the budget request. The Greenbook is a document that contains detailed explanations of the tax proposals in an administration’s budget request. A Treasury spokesperson explained that there won’t be a Greenbook this year given the implementation of tax reform.
