Allison Jones, an assistant vice president in the firm’s state government relations practice, was recently appointed to the Virginia Council on Women. The Council on Women is an advisory council whose purpose is to identify ways in which women can reach their potential and make their full contribution to society and the commonwealth. The council consists of 18 members from around the commonwealth, who are appointed by the governor, as well as one of the governor’s secretaries (currently the secretary of the commonwealth) who is an ex-officio member with full voting privileges. Members each serve a term of three years and may be reappointed.

Allison is the former finance director for the Democratic Party of Virginia and a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.
