Mona Mohib Promoted to Senior Vice President

WASHINGTON, DC – McGuireWoods Consulting is pleased to announce that Mona G. Mohib has been promoted to senior vice president. She is a member of both the Federal Public Affairs group and National Multistate Strategies team, where she works with governors, attorneys general and other state and local elected officials across the country.

Ms. Mohib joined the firm in 2009 and possesses more than 20 years of policy and political experience. She currently represents a diverse group of clients on a range of issues and serves as a key liaison to Democratic policymakers in Washington, D.C. and across the country.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Ms. Mohib was the director of policy and communications at the Democratic Governors Association. She was a member of the Obama/Biden Transition Team for the U.S. Department of Labor, served in the Clinton White House as associate director for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and was director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor.

Ms. Mohib served as a member of the Democratic National Committee from 2001-2009 during which time she was Vice-Chair of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Caucus. She is also on the Executive Board of the Asian American Action Fund.
