HARKINS JOINS MCGUIREWOODS CONSULTING

Barnaby Harkins has joined McGuireWoods Consulting as assistant vice president of the Federal Government Relations division. Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Harkins was employed by Congressman Tom Davis, Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

During his tenure with Congressman Davis, Harkins managed Davis' interests throughout the appropriations process. He was responsible for managing education, energy, environmental, agriculture, federal employee, retiree, crime and gambling issues.

Harkins, who received bachelor's degrees in both political science and psychology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, has strong legislative experience in managing and securing municipal and school systems appropriations. He also has strong relationships with the House Republican Leadership, the Appropriations Committee, the Government Reform Committee, the Energy Committee, the Commerce Committee, and the Virginia and Maryland Congressional delegations.
