1. Alexandria issues design-build request for DASH
facility
Several weeks ago, I reported on action by the state's
Design-Build/Construction Management Review Board to
allow the City of Alexandria to use new legislation (SB 732)
for its DASH bus maintenance and storage facility.
2. Fairfax receives unsolicited PPEA proposals
Fairfax County has posted 2 unsolicited proposals for
PPEA proposals - one for workforce housing in the Reston
area, and the other for a parking garage at the Vienna Metro

6. State working group adopts PPTA guideline
modifications
The following documents were adopted at the most recent
meeting of the workgroup convened to make the changes
incorporated in SB 76 (2006) to the PPEA and the PPTA. These
documents include the proposed changes to the VDOT PPTA
guidelines and flowcharts for both solicited and unsolicited
PPTA projects. Comments are due by the group's next meeting
on September 19.
