Mona Mohib is a Vice President in the Federal Public Affairs group at McGuireWoods Consulting where Mona advises clients on a variety of issues and maintains many contacts on Capitol Hill and throughout the Administration.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, Mona was the Director of Policy and Communications at the Democratic Governors Association.
Mona is a former member of the Obama/Biden Transition Team for the U.S. Department of Labor. She also served in the Clinton/Gore Administration as Associate Director for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House and was Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor.
Mona has nearly 15 years of campaign and political experience. She has been involved in every Presidential election since 1996 and has worked on the re-election campaign of Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell and Dan Malloy’s campaign for Governor of Connecticut in 2006. In 2002, she was Political Director for former Vice President Al Gore’s political action committee Leadership ’02 and developed political strategies to support Democratic candidates nationally.
Mona Mohib served as a member of the Democratic National Committee from 2001-2009 during which timeshe was Vice-Chair of the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus. She continues to serve as a surrogate speaker on behalf of the party.
Mona is a native of Stamford, Connecticut.
