Richard Cullen

Richard Cullen is chairman of McGuireWoods LLP and has been with McGuireWoods since entering practice in 1977 with two tours of public service. He was appointed United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia by President George H.W. Bush in 1991 and served until 1993.
In 1997, Governor George Allen appointed him Attorney General of Virginia.
He regularly advises corporations and their executives facing investigation by prosecutors or other governmental investigative agencies and his practice includes representing corporations in dealings with numerous state attorneys general.
He also served on the Bush-Cheney transition advisory committee for the Department of Justice.
