MWC NC Lobbyists Rank Among Most Influential

McGuireWoods Consulting Lobbyists Rank Among Most Influential in North Carolina

Every two years, the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research releases the Rankings of the Most Influential Lobbyists in the NC General Assembly. McGuireWoods Consulting has always had a presence on the list; but this year had an impressive showing with three individuals nominated. For 2011-12, Senior Vice President Harry Kaplan rose in the ranks from #9 to #5, Senior Vice President Johnny Tillett rose from #24 to #18, and Senior Vice President Franklin Freeman came in at #27.
“This speaks volumes for the hard work and decades of experience offered by the entire Raleigh team. McGuire Woods Consulting has always strived to be bi-partisan and I believe this shows we can effectively represent clients with either political party,” says Harry Kaplan.
Newcomers and Republicans surged to the top of the listings of most influential lobbyists, according to the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research
The rankings are compiled through surveys of lawmakers, lobbyists and capital correspondents.
“We do things differently in North Carolina, every project, every client, every issue – everything we touch gets the group experience. We’re about teamwork, and that’s reflected in the results we bring home,” says Johnny Tillett.
