Firm expands local capabilities with Charlotte presence

RALEIGH– McGuireWoods Consulting today announced former state RepresentativeTricia Cotham has joined the state government relations practice as a vicepresident in the firm’s Charlotte office. Ms. Cotham spent the past 10years serving constituents in House District 100, where she was a rankingmember of the House Education and Healthcare committees, and will assistclients with legislative and regulatory issues at both the state and locallevel.

During her tenure as a 10-year North Carolina legislator, she became wellversed in education, healthcare, finance, regulatory reform, commerce,banking and judiciary matters. Ms. Cotham possesses experience working withleaders of trade associations, Fortune 500 companies and legislators inboth parties.

Prior to her service to the citizens of House District 100, Ms. Cothamserved as an assistant principal of one of the state’s largest highschools. She was named Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Teacher of the Year in2002 and represented the state as a governor’s appointee on the SouthernRegion Education Board (2009-2012).
