Last month, the Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) was founded by the Bucharest Stock Exchange, along with some of the largest listed companies, companies with the potential to become listed, fund managers and investor relations professionals. The project was initiated by Daniela Serban, strategic communications and public affairs coordinator on McGuireWoods Consulting’s international government relations team.
The association is a non-governmental, non-profit organization working to increase visibility of the Romanian capital market internationally, and promote best practices for communication between listed companies and investors.
“Implementing the best IR practices means increasing the transparency of listed companies by improving investor communication techniques, using new tools and innovation in the field. All these are indicators valued by investors and influence their perception related to issuers or potential issuers,” said Daniela Serban.
