Jim Hodges, McGuireWoods Consulting president, partner with McGuireWoods LLP and former governor of South Carolina, was recognized as one of the 50 most influential people in Columbia in the Jan. 6, 2020 edition of Columbia Business Monthly. Based on staff research and community nominations, the 50 individuals on the list have made the biggest impact on the region over the past year.
As governor of South Carolina, Hodges made reforms to the state’s education system, and oversaw record-breaking economic development projects for South Carolina. He joined McGuireWoods Consulting in 2009, and was named president and CEO in 2017. He advises clients on matters in all 50 states, and divides his time between Washington, D.C. and Columbia.
