McGuireWoods Consulting is pleased to welcome three new additions to its MWC Advocacy team, building on a robust service line of digital advocacy and communications to mobilize supporters, drive conversations and educate and activate constituents. Jessica Woodie, vice president for digital, Kate Zaykowski, vice president for communications, and Ellie Barmish, grassroots and digital specialist, will assist clients nationwide on a range of digital advocacy needs.

With a focus on developing online marketing and communications solutions for clients by creating engaging cross-channel content, Woodie brings her experience from three election cycles at the Republican National Committee (RNC), where she served as the creative director. Woodie also worked on Capitol Hill, where she advocated for healthcare initiatives.

Zaykowski has a background in the energy space, with prior communications experience from the Texas Oil & Gas Association, Parsley Energy and the Texas Railroad Commission. She will work with clients to refine communications tactics and help lawmakers, industry stakeholders and community members connect with key messages.

Barmish joins McGuireWoods Consulting from the nonprofit world, where she led the communications and operations efforts for a local nonprofit in Austin, Texas that focuses on civic engagement, leadership development, and community education. Her background in graphic design, social media content development, and communications will be an asset to clients looking to build an advocacy campaign.

“Jess, Kate and Ellie are a welcome addition to the MWC Advocacy team,” said director Steve Horton. “Their digital and communication skills will benefit clients in an increasingly fast-paced environment, where targeted messaging can make the difference in a successful government affairs strategy.”

Woodie is based in Richmond, Virginia and Zaykowski and Barmish are located in Austin, Texas, with the ability to work with clients nationwide.
