Clayton Cox Leads Push for Atlanta to Host Democratic National Convention

On December 21, McGuireWoods Consulting Vice President Clayton Cox was cited in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article for his leadership role in pushing for the Democratic National Convention to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

The city, which last hosted a political convention in 1988, has lined up more than $20 million in commitments to help with the convention costs. The Atlanta Journal Constitution notes that about 5,000 delegates and 45,000 visitors would be expected to attend the convention.

Clayton oversaw the DNC’s fundraising efforts and helped lead the Biden Victory Fund, which raised a record breaking $1.6 billion for his presidential election.
