In 2021, McGuireWoods Consulting’s infrastructure and economic development team engaged in 10 projects across nine states — Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Projects are pending in nine other states — Florida, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, Wisconsin and New Jersey. The projects spanned industry sectors, including corporate office, food and beverage, logistics and distribution, aerospace and aviation, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy.

Working in conjunction with government officials and the public, the team realized over $1.3 billion in capital investments on behalf of clients and more than 1,500 jobs were announced last year as a result of the economic development projects in which the team was engaged.

MWC’s infrastructure and economic development team includes senior vice president and director Chris Lloyd, senior vice presidents Tracy Baynard and Preston Bryant, vice president Benton Blaine and assistant vice president Margaret Rockwell.
