On March 1, 2023, MWC Senior Vice President Johnny Tillett received the 2023 Salute to Champions award from Raleigh, N.C.-based The Sports Shop Radio show w/ Reese & Kmac. The program recognizes African American individuals who have demonstrated significant achievements in their respective fields and/or paved the way for others.
Tillett, a former star basketball player at Wingate University, was a guest on Reese & Kmac’s radio show in February, when he discussed his lengthy work in public service and how he began his career as a leading lobbyist in North Carolina.
