Missy joined McGuireWoods Consulting in January 2018 as a senior vice president of MWCAdvocacy. Missy assists clients on a wide variety of healthcare, natural resources, and educational legislative issues at the federal, state, and local level, and has developed strong relationships statewide with a wide range of constituencies.
Prior to joining the firm, Missy worked as the director of legislative affairs for The Nature Conservancy, director of community and government relations for LifePoint Hospitals, in several government relations roles, and at the firm previously from 2008-2012. She has also served as assistant secretary of natural resources under Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and as chair of the Agriculture and Forestry Policy Council on Governor-Elect Ralph Northam's transition team.
In addition to earning her undergraduate degree from Meredith College, Missy is a 2006 graduate of the Political Leaders Program of the University of Virginia's Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
